The Friendship Senior Options Foundation announced that they have approved a grant of $100,000 to support their Benevolent Care Fund. The Foundation is the philanthropic affiliate of Friendship Senior Options and its senior living communities, Friendship Village of Schaumburg and GreenFields of Geneva.
As Life Plan Communities, Friendship Village and GreenFields ensure that residents have access to increasing levels of care should their health needs change. The senior living communities offer independent living, assisted living, memory support, rehabilitation, and long-term skilled care. The Benevolent Care Fund offers Life Care residents, the security and peace of mind knowing that they can continue to reside in their community and access the services they need, even if their financial resources are exhausted. The commitment to benevolence stems from the organization’s core value of friendship and the dedication to treating others with dignity, respect, and kindness.
The Friendship Senior Options Foundation was founded to foster an environment of giving in order to enrich the lives of seniors. Centered in the spirit of friendship, the Foundation values and promotes compassion, education, and the advancement of the quality of life for older adults, and the growth and development of the dedicated professionals who serve them.
The Foundation is built on three pillars that drive its mission: benevolence, education and the arts, and capital initiatives.
“We are gratified for the Board of Directors’ exceptional commitment to supporting benevolent care in our communities. It is because of the generosity of the Board, our residents, family members, and others, that we can provide this extraordinary service,” said Karen Kay, director of Friendship Senior Options Foundation. “We are proud to be able to offer this support to residents in their time of need. Gifts truly make a difference in the lives of our seniors.
